That was my first Club Jenna movie, yes.
And how did that go for you?
Oh that was awesome. That was my first time working with Jenna, and as I said, my first movie with Club Jenna, and it was probably one of the greatest things I've ever shot. I had so much fun. The costumes were great, the locations, the people involved. It's an awesome movie.
Besides Jenna, who else did you work with on Krystal Method?
I worked with Eric Masterson. I did a boy/girl with him and girl/girl with Jenna. And there was a boy/girl anal sex scene that was going on, and I was in it but I wasn't doing anything. I think I was just masturbating on the side. I don't know if that really counts as a scene.

Yes, I do choose my partners. I get the luxury of doing that now.
I take it you definitely think being a contract girl better than freelancing.
Yeah. A lot of people like different things. I like the contract because it's the stability. Girls without contracts can make more money. But they have to find their jobs, and they don't know what they're going to make, what they're going to do.
Having a contract you already know what you're going to have to do, and what you're going to get paid. You're already guaranteed X amount. You don't have to get out there and find a movie to shoot. As a contract girl you get more pull. You get to choose who you work with. A little bit more of the VIP treatment.
Club Jenna is based out in Arizona, you live out in Orange County. Where do you guys actually work?
Mostly it's shot in the valley, but sometimes we shoot out there. I've done a couple of scenes with Jenna, and we've done them out there in Arizona.

What was the last mainstream movie you saw?
Oh, I just last night saw National Treasure.
What did you think?
I like it because I'm into treasure hunts and fairy tales and dragons and all that. But it was really complicated, so it was kind of hard to follow, but overall I'd say it was a good movie.
If they were making a mainstream movie about your life, which actress would you like to see playing you?
Let me think about that for a second ... I'd probably say, well, as far as my personal choice, maybe Brittney Murphy, because it would take someone like her to pull it off ... she can pull of the crazy girl, the drug addict girl, the pretty girl...she seems to pull off every role she takes on, and I'm definitely a complicated person with a complicated past.
Are you the crazy drug girl?
No, I'm not the crazy drug girl. But I was definitely a wild child. I got my start in everything really young. Partied and did everything at a young age. Had to grow up fast.
Where are you from originally?
Born and raised in Orange County. That's very rare. To be born and raised there. My parents are still married. My brothers and sisters are all from the same mom and dad. Came from a great home. Wasn't sexually abused.
Which begs the question, how did you end up in porn?
It's funny because my mom always tells me, when I was younger, I always said, "I want to be a dancer. I want to be a stripper." And everything I pretty much said I was going to do when I was younger, I've done. I mean, except for ... I haven't gotten quite as far as I'd like to in the porn industry. I'm not quite where I'd like to be, yet. I haven't accomplished that.
But I started dancing when I was 17. I had a little fake check cashing ID, and I went to a shit hole strip club where they didn't really cause too much waves for IDs. I was one of the better looking girls there, so I did pretty good. I worked there for maybe about a year. And then I started doing bachelor parties and higher end parties up in Beverly Hills.
And then I just decided why not try doing movies and see if it's something I could even do. Did one, and here I am today. I love my job.
How long have you been in adult now?
I think I started when I was 19. I'm 22 now. Three, four years.
What are you doing with all the cash?
I'm young and stupid so of course in the beginning I blew a lot of it. Now I'm learning, and I budget and I save. I have a lot to show for it. I bought a car, but ... I have a brand new Mercedes that I bought and paid for myself.
That was a nice place for me to put my money, but about a month and a half ago, I got in a car accident and I totaled my car and I almost died. So I don't have a car right now, but I have the money. I'm going to be getting a new one pretty soon. I live in Irvine, and it's where all the kids are taken care of by their parents. So everybody always goes, "Oh nice car. Did your daddy buy it for you?" "No. I bought it myself. Thank you."
It sounds like your parents are pretty open and liberal.
Yeah. My parents, I couldn't ask for greater parents. I can talk with them openly about anything. They know what I do. I can come to them with problems and be honest with them. They support me no matter what I do in my life. They just try to be there to help me guide myself. Make sure I end up with my head on straight at the end of all this, and with a nice chunk of money left.
So where do you want to go? You said you haven't done everything you really want to do with porn so far.
Well, when I got in the industry, I didn't want to just get in and make a quick few bucks and get out. I got in it to be number one, and that's my plan, to get to the top. I haven't accomplished everything that would make me feel that I've gotten to the top yet. I mean, I won Best New Starlet for the Night Moves Awards, but I want the Best New Starlet. I haven't been nominated for it yet.
I think you have to settle for Female Performer of the Year now.
Yeah. This year I don't have any nominations, but next year I think I'm going to be pretty good, because I'm going to have a lot of movies out within the next year.
Do you know how many they're planning on releasing?
Before I was with Club Jenna, I was with Pleasure. I had a year contract with them, and I shot, I don't know, 30 movies, and they still probably have at least ten movies they haven't released. They've been waiting to release them, and I think that within the next year Pleasure will be releasing all my old movies, and then all my new movies from Club Jenna will be coming out. So I'm going to have a double whammy.
If you hadn't decided on porn what do you think you would have done?
I'd be somewhere with animals. I'm a very big animal lover, and I enjoy just watching them. I'd probably be working in a zoo. Zookeeper. I used to want to be a veterinarian, but, eh, too many years of school for me. I was never one that liked school. I have authority issues, so I don't really like going to school and being told what to do. But I definitely would say something with animals.
My dream, even when I'm old, no matter whether in porn or not, is to have a big cat sanctuary. I watch a lot of "Animal Planet", and I see where people have ranches and they keep like tigers that were in circuses or ones that have been taken away from people that have owned them and abused ones, and they just keep them and make sure they have a good life. They don't train them or anything. That's been my dream, and it still is. To have a big cat sanctuary, and to just look after and take care of big cats.
Are you part of PETA or anything like that?
I'm sorry?
PETA? People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals?
I'm not part of it, but I definitely believe in it. I'm against animal cruelty and all that. That's another thing, I wanted to be an animal cop.
You know they actually have something on the Discovery Channel.
Yeah, I watch it all the time. "Animal Precinct".

I think that my problem is, if I was that, I'd be too angry and I'd want to just arrest everybody or beat them up.
You'd be like Dirty Harry?
Yeah. I don't think I could do my job to ... I think I'd get a little too mean. I'd want to just arrest everybody.
You'd have people coming out of jail with baton stuck up their ass because they forgot to feed their dog.
Exactly. Why have an animal if you're going to treat it that way? You can give it up; you don't have to have it. They just keep them, they don't feed them, they just chain them up. Why even have an animal if you don't want it.
So what do you do when you're not working?
I'm a homebody, to be honest. I stay at home a lot. I don't really go out. Sometimes I do, I head to the local clubs. I know everybody, so I'll go out now and then. But for the most part, I stay at home. I have four cats. I spend a lot of time with them. I just moved into a house. I've been trying to get my house all in order, and trying all my boxes and unpack everything. And I paint. I paint a lot. I play videogames. I like to watch movies.
What kind of video games? What's your system?
I have an X-Box and a PS 2, and I play games on the computer.
Have you played Halo 2 yet?
No I haven't.

I haven't played that one yet.
I have the first one and beat it, and the second one came out, and my little brother borrowed it from me, so he's been playing it. I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet.
What's your favorite video game?
I like Grand Theft Auto, all the different ones of that. And definitely love Bloodrayne. That was a big favorite of mine.
And you know, of course, Jenna is in Grand Theft Auto.
I haven't gotten to the part with her there, because I don't really do the missions. I just kind of like to find the place on top of a building and snipe everybody and see how many different police I can get after me. I just do corruption, I don't do the missions.
Have you gotten to the car place yet where you get to steal cars and drop them up for cash.
I steal the cars, but I don't think I've gotten to that part. I haven't played that part in awhile. I want to get the new one.
You've gotta see Jenna's part. She's a porn star in it.
Yeah. She's like Candy Sucks or something.
It was hilarious, there's a lot of mainstream press that notes she's in the game, but they never say what it is that she did in it. I had no idea until I got to her scene. It's funny because it seemed kinda hypocritical that they would say that there's this porn star in it, but they never would say that the porn star plays a porn star in it.
There's also a great game I play online and it's called City of Heroes. It's an online game you play with other people. You create your own super hero. You can make whatever costume and all that. You get to pick your powers, and you level up, and you get new powers and all this other stuff. Really fun! They're getting ready to come up with City of Villains, where you get to play the bad guy. That game is kick ass. I play all the time.
Online my name is, I play as Krystal Steal. People go by me, because you can talk to everybody and team up, they'll come by and say, "Oh that's an original name, porn star Krystal Steal." And I think that's funny, because it really is me. It's really me playing the video game. That's a really great game. If you play video games, you should definitely look into it.
Note to self: Take one-week vacation to learn how to play City of Heroes.
You have to have one of the special cards for your computer so that your monitor can take that many callers at one time, for the Game Chip, or whatever it's called. But it's a really great game, and it's super fun. I'll sit and play for eight hours at a time.
Speaking of Krystal Method, do you like that band (referring to the Crystal Method)?
No. I think they have some good songs, but I don't really listen to that. I'm a rock ‘n roller. I'm rock all the way.
Who's your favorite band right now?
Marilyn Manson and Korn. Those are my two all time favorites. I've got Korn in right now.
Where did you get your name?
When I did my first movie, I didn't really think I was going to make a career out of it, so honestly I didn't put that much thought into it.
I chose Krystal because I wanted something pretty, and then I wanted to team it up with something hard, something gnarly. Like good and evil. So I thought crystal worked for the pretty, and then steel for the hard.
Then I spelled it Steal because I wanted to be different. I hate being like everybody else. I like to be different and difficult.
That is an original one. There's not a lot of Steals around.
There's a lot of Steals, but nobody else spells it the way I do. (Steel or Steele being both very popular last names for pseudonyms of performers of both sexes).
Right. They've all got the metal or variant.
Steel or Stele. I like to at least be different. I don't know. Honestly, if I would have known I was going to make a career out of it, I probably would have spent a little bit more time.
I've kinda just become Krystal Steal. It's my name now. That's who I am. I'm Krystal.
At what point did you realize that this was the career?
I knew within the first month of doing it. Once I shot my first movie, I realized that it was something I could do, I'm OK with it. It doesn't bother me. I love sex. And then I just decided I wanted to go full throttle. I wanted to do it. I wanted to make it to the top. I wanted a contract right away, but I'm glad that I didn't get a contract right away.
When I first started, I did about 50 gonzos, and I think, in my opinion, that's the best way to go for a new girl, because that way you get your name out there and you get established, versus being a brand new girl and getting a contract right away, people aren't going to know who you really are for awhile. So I'm definitely happy with the route that I took. I went out there and made a nice chunk of movies. Gonzo got my name out there. People knew who I was. And then sign a contract.
When do you think you'll know that you've made it? What will it take?
I don't think I could tell you something specifically. I'll just know. I'll know when I've accomplished what I set out to do. It doesn't necessarily mean that I have to win all the awards. I definitely would like to win an AVN award, because I've been in the industry for three plus years, and I haven't won an AVN Award.
I just won my first award, but that was for the Nightmoves awards, and I got Fan's Choice Best New Starlet, which made me very happy, but I definitely would like to see myself with an AVN trophy. That would be something that would make me know I'm on the right track.
What's your ethnic heritage?
I am Irish, Scottish and Dutch. I'm half Dutch.
So big stoner?
I'm a big stoner, yes. I'm a "tobacco substitute" smoker. That's another one of my hobbies. I don't know if I should say this. I consider myself a "tobacco substitute" connoisseur.

I haven't had a vacation in so long. I mean, I travel all the time, go to all these cool places, but it's for work. So I don't really get to go out and relax and have fun and explore, because I'm working. But I've gone so many great places. I just wish I could go just for fun.
I'd say the last real vacation was last year, around this time, my family and I, we go to Big Bear for Christmas. We'd get a cabin and stay there and snowboard and stuff.
Are you a real bisexual or just for the camera?
Yes. I love women. The first time I was with a girl, I was 14. When I was younger, people in school used to tease me and make fun of me because I liked girls. They'd call me a dyke and a lesbian. It wasn't cool to like girls. But I've just always ... I love women. They're beautiful. They're great.

As far as guys, I have my list of my favorite guys that I like, that I work really well with. I know that no matter what we're going to shoot a great scene because we like each other and we have good chemistry and we work well.
With girls, I'm not really too picky. Sometimes I like new girls, sometimes I don't. I just have to have girls with big fake boobs. I love ... I'm a big fake boob girl.

So how should they feel?
When you have any kind of implant, they're never going to feel as good as a real breast, but a lot of girls have bad boob jobs. There's all these plastic surgeons these days, and they'll just take your money and butcher you and leave you with terrible breasts. One of my best friends just had hers done, and he butchered her. They are so terrible. I feel bad for her. Of course she didn't take my advice on who to go to and what to do, but ...
And your breasts? Are yours real or fake?
Are my boobs real? Are you serious? No way they're not real. I'm like 105 pounds, a 5'5" little girl. Little girls like me don't have big real boobs.

Yes, that's true. But I've had two boob jobs. My first one I had two weeks after I turned 18. I always wanted big boobs, so I got those, but the doctor didn't do the greatest job. They weren't sitting in the right place. So I had them redone about two years later, and I have silicone now, and they're great.
They're soft, my nipples aren't crooked, and they're in the right place, I wouldn't change anything. My boobs are perfect.
